About Us

A new asset class with a clear purpose

We believe natural capital will become a fundamental component of investor portfolios.

Markets have long undervalued the services provided by nature.

We believe that the emerging markets in natural capital represent some of the most exciting possibilities for nature recovery in decades. They offer tangible opportunities for landowners and investors to deliver meaningful, positive change in the way land is managed.

Our mission is to make these markets more transparent, visible and easily investible. We aim to bridge the gap between funders and land managers, creating a platform that directs capital towards nature by demonstrating the link between resilient and sustainably managed ecosystems and resilient, sustainable economies.

Nature Compliance Markets

Nature compliance markets, such as those emerging from Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and Nutrient Neutrality legislation, are regulatory-backed mechanisms that offer opportunities for investment in environmental outcomes.

Payments for Ecosystem

Services (PES)

Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) are market-based mechanisms where beneficiaries of nature's ecosystem services provide financial compensation to those who manage or enhance natural assets.

Voluntary Nature Markets

Voluntary nature markets, such as those involving carbon credits or habitat restoration enable businesses and individuals to invest in nature-based projects that deliver environmental benefits and support sustainability goals.

What is Natural Capital?

Natural capital refers to the world’s natural assets such as woodlands, rivers, soils, and biodiversity that provide essential support and benefits to society and the economy.

These assets provide ecosystem services resulting in clean air, water filtration, carbon storage, tourism and flood protection, which underpin growth and prosperity. The natural capital approach seeks to account for the true value of nature, the benefits it provides and our dependence on it.

By recognising these contributions, it supports sustainable decision-making and long-term risk mitigation. This ensures the natural world is effectively managed and invested in to ensure lasting societal and economic benefits.
